28-06-2025 - Re-Envisioning Solidarity: The Internationalism Of The Palestinian Resistance

LOCATION CHANGE - SCREENING NOW AT LISTEN GALLERY

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), one of the key resistance factions fighting on the ground right now, has a long history of beautiful anti-imperialist unity and solidarity.

Join us on Saturday the 28th of June from 12-2pm in the CCA’s Liberated Zone to learn about their internationalism through the prism of Palestine, from Japan, to New Afrika, to Tamil Eelam. In light of the CCA’s recent indecision in standing in solidarity with Palestine, we will have a discussion post-screening to re-envision and rethink what solidarity is, using the experiences and lessons of those at the forefront of the struggle. We’ll share a warm (vegan & gluten free) meal during our discussion.

This screening is a part of a week-long takeover of CCA by Art Workers For Palestine Scotland aiming to reclaim the space into a liberated zone of resistance, learning, and artistic solidarity with Palestine. We encourage you to browse through the entire programme and join us all for a People’s Assembly on the future of CCA on Saturday at 4pm. No culture without Palestinian culture!

Content Notes: The film we are screening deals with Zionism and colonialism. It depicts guns repeatedly as well as an airplane exploding. There is a brief clip of a corpse being carried.

Address: 60 York Street G2 8JX

There is no cost to the screening but we encourage you to donate to the fundraising efforts of Art Workers For Palestine Scotland and subscribe to the Listen Gallery Patreon if you can.
