29-06-2025 - I danced for my land, I sang for it: From Glasgow to Gaza (Kids and Family Fundraiser and Solidarity Day)

Join us this Sunday at The Bowling Green in Pollokshields for ‘I danced for my land, i sang for it’, a two-part screening celebrating Palestinian kids’ dreams of liberation and return.

The films we have included teach us about the many realities of living under zionist occupation, honouring the memory of Palestine as it is kept alive from palm to palm, letter to letter, parent to child, river to sea.

We will start with a short strand open to kids of all ages, followed by a screening of Mai Masri’s ‘Frontiers of Dreams and Fears’ (2001) recommended for kids aged 12+. Younger siblings can stick around after the shorts for a wee craft sesh

The screening is part of ‘From Glasgow to Gaza’, a kids fundraiser and solidarity day organised by Art Workers For Palestine Scotland, Scotland & Palestine Penpal Collective and Mothers against Genocide Scotland.

Infinite gratitude to Haneen Koraz for sharing her beautiful animations made by and with young kids in Deir Al-Balah.

6-8pm, starting with an earthy meal + a brief overview of the programme!

Suggested donation on the door of £5-10, no one turned away for lack of funds.

Films included are:

  • ‘The Story of Sila and Seline’ (2025)
  • ‘From Glasgow to Gaza’ (2025)
