Following Bayan Ko vol. I which showcased the Filipino people’s struggle against imperialism, vol II. Tindig Tindig will highlight a key movement in the Philippines: the agrarian struggle. 

Exploring the many ways that peasants and their allies fight exploitation and land grabbing, we will screen a series of short films weaving stories of struggle in song and action. The programme will be followed by a food workshop during which we will collectively make piaya - a sugar-filled unleavened flatbread - to encourage conversations and share reflections on the themes of the day. Bilaos painted at our last screening will be exhibited in the space.

A warm (vegan & gluten-free) meal will be served at the start of the event. The programme will then begin with a presentation to contextualise the films. This event is an opportunity to keep building our budding community in Glasgow and its surroundings. Join us for an afternoon of learning, connection and action!
